BACK TO BIG SUR FOR MY B-DAY

Wanted to share a few images from a B-Day trip my family and I took. Emil and I've been to Big Sur and San Simeon before { see pics here }, and fell in love with the gorgeous coastline and breathtaking views. So, when it came to planning what to do for my Birthday, we couldn't think of a better place to go! Wish I could post all the amazing pics we took, but I think, I would run out of space on this blog:) But I hope, the above images, give you some idea of how beautiful Big Sur and San Simeon really are. So, if you haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it!  

P.S. My mom is completely camera shy, just like Emil, but I did manage to convince my brother to take a pic with me:) Can you believe how tall and handsome he is! I'm wearing pretty high heels and he is still towering over me! So much for little brother bid, huh?:)

VIVA LAS VEGAS

Hey Everyone! Finally, I get to share a few of my favorites from an amazing Vegas trip Emil and I took a few weeks ago! Even though this was not our first visit to Vegas, everytime we come here we are completely blown away by the whole experience. It's like the town gets bigger and better and brighter all the time... !

As usual we stayed at Wynn, I suppose we are a bit boring this way, but I guess we enjoy the familiarity... Why take a gamble if we already found a place we really love!  Since Emil and I don't really gamble much, we usually spent time lounging by the pool, stuffing out faces at SW Steakhouse or the Terrace Cafe, walk around the strip or go shopping. Shopping of course being the one I enjoy a bit more than Emil does:) But hey, how do you go to Vegas and not go shopping! Ahhh..., completely not possible!!!! 

But I guess one of my biggest guilty pleasures while in Vegas is room service breakfast. I take breakfast very seriously in general, but in Vegas especially, I can sit for hours sipping coffee, munching on croissants and enjoying the view below. Wish I could have breakfast like that everyday ... :) 

 Is it wrong that I am already planning my next visit? :)

Hey Everyone,

I am yet again excited to partner up with ShopSense to share one of my "best kept secret" spots in LA. Last time I talked about Malibu Country Mart (see here), this time, I want to take you on a trip to Catalina Island.

Located just southwest of Los Angeles, the best way to reach Catalina Island is by a ferry boat, which takes about an hour. Emil and I love boat rides, so taking the ferry is definitely part of the attraction. Normally, we catch the boat early in the morning and spend the entire day on the Island. 

Once you get there, I definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get around. Aside from the obvious fun factor, it gives you a chance to explore the Island and see more than a few breathtaking views! So don't forget you camera!:) Since Emil and I are complete foodies, we never pass up an opportunity to visit a local restaurant or two:) Catalina Island has really good sea food places, so, if you are a fan like we are, I definitely recommend trying it out. 

But I think one of the main reasons we keep coming back to Catalina, is of course the beach. I am sure by now, you all know we are complete and total beach bums and swimming and working on our tans is our favorite thing to do! Catalina has a few absolutely beautiful beaches, so finding the one you like, is a no brainer!
